2020年澳大利亚数学竞赛（AMC）的成绩于近期公布。此次比赛共有来自全国2435所国际学校和重点中小学的38516名学生参赛。

本次竞赛中，朝阳凯文学校参加考试的47名学生全部获得奖项，在全国38516名参赛者中脱颖而出，成绩喜人，获奖率高达100%。

一等奖奖项设置一般要求排名在所有参赛者成绩的前3%，二等奖则是排名在前20%。朝阳凯文学子首次参赛即有多名学生名列前茅，成绩让人欢欣鼓舞。

因为出色的成绩，朝阳凯文的张爱华老师、尹谷艳老师、覃灏老师和Sean Raymond被授予AMC大赛优秀辅导老师的称号。学校优秀师资可见一斑！

澳大利亚数学竞赛（AMC）目前是全球规模最大、历史悠久的校际数学竞赛之一。新颖的题型和多语言试题让全球的数学爱好者们得以在数学领域进行切磋，共同学习，并深刻认识数学在生活中的重要性。此外，优异的竞赛成绩也会提升学生的升学竞争力，有益于申请大学。

今年9月，朝阳凯文有15位来自3-9年级的同学们参加美国大联盟夏季数学挑战赛。经历紧张的个人赛和速度赛后，共有林雨彤、龙峻泽、韩木子、任嘉朕等4名同学挤进排名30%获得铜奖，5位同学拿到比赛前50%成绩。

其实，不只是数学竞赛，朝阳凯文学子在其他赛场上也是硕果累累。

同时，朝阳凯文的机器人俱乐部也在国际机器人大赛中屡获大奖，2019年7月，机器人全球总决赛中，朝阳凯文学校荣获2019赛季全球唯一 Botball杰出中学奖。同年底，在日本RoboRAVE机器人比赛中，学校又是在参赛的500多所学校中脱颖而出，获得中学巡线组亚军和小学巡线组一等奖。

此次AMC获奖学生均匀分布在小学、初中和高中，这体现出凯文学子学术成绩整体的均衡。这和学校严谨夯实的学术课程、优秀的师资与学生们的努力钻研密不可分。

课程方面，朝阳凯文通过“课堂、课后、竞赛”三位一体全方面的教学培养，帮助学生们搭建和培养数学思维的能力。中学部数学教师Mandy Wang老师介绍道，“中学部一直提供给同学们有关数学的课外课辅导。比如我在周一的课外课，是专门针对6-7年级参加滑铁卢高斯数学竞赛进行辅导的，Jessie Geng老师在周四有专门针对数学作业课后辅导的课外课。同学们通过课堂的学习、作业和竞赛的辅导，三位一体，优化学生理性思维的水平以及解决具体问题的能力”。

机器人俱乐部的指导老师郝老师也提出，“作为实践基础教育改革的国际学校，我们朝阳凯文以创建雨果机器人社团为形式，引导学生在机器人制作和设计中实践自己学到的科学，技术，工程和数学各方面的知识，而且还需要更加强大的英文能力去阅读各种程序文档和机器人设计方案。在平时社团活动和竞赛中，学生需要良好的交流能力和对各种突发事件的处理能力，领导力和团队协作能力更是不可或缺的。孩子真正的成长就是在对科学执着的热爱和坚持不懈地探索中逐渐实现的”。

The results of the 2020 Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) were recently announced. A total of 38,516 students from 2,435 international schools and key primary and secondary schools across the country participated in the competition.

47 students from Chaoyang Kevin School took part in this competition. Among them, 47 students stood out among 38,516 contestants from different area of China with impressive results. Winning rate is 100%.

The first prize is generally required to be ranked in the top 3 of all contestants’ results, while the second prize is in the top 20%.

In the first competition, 12 students were ranked among the top, and the results were very encouraging.

Mrs. Zhang Aihua, Mrs. Yin Guyan, Mrs. Qin Hao and Mr. Sean Raymond were awarded the title of Outstanding Tutor of AMC Competition due to their outstanding performance. We are proud of these excellent teachers!

The Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) is currently one of the largest and oldest inter-school mathematics competitions in the world.

The creative questions and multi-language tests enable math lovers around the world to learn together and learn from each other in the field of math, in order to have a deep understanding of the importance of math in daily life.

In addition, excellent results will also enhance students’ competitiveness for further study, which is beneficial for applying for universities.

In fact, not only in the math competition, students from Chaoyang Kevin school are also fruitful in other competitions.

In September 15th 2020, students from grades 3 to 9 took part summer Challenge hosted by Math League.

After the Individual Round and Speed Rounds, a total of 4 students, including Lin Yutong, Long Junze, Han Muzi and Ren Jiayi, were selected into the top 30% to win the bronze prize, and 5 students got the top 50% results.

At the same time, The Robot Club of Chaoyang Kevin has won many awards in the international robot Contest. In July 2019, in the Global Robot Contest final, Chaoyang Kevin School won the only world prize of Botball Outstanding High School in the 2019 season.

At the end of the same year, in the Japanese RoboRAVE robot Contest , our school stood out among more than 500 schools and won the second place in the middle school patrol group and the first place in the primary school patrol group.

At the same time, the winners are evenly distributed among primary, junior and senior high schools, which reflects the overall balance of Academic performance of students.

This is closely related to the rigorous academic curriculum, excellent teachers and students’ hard work.

In terms of curriculum, Chaoyang Kevin School helps students to build and develop their mathematical thinking ability through the training of “classroom, after-class and competition” .

Mandy Wang, a math teacher from the Secondary School, said, “The secondary school has been providing students with after-class tutoring on math to strengthen their math foundation.

For example, I had extra-curricular classes on Monday, specially for grade 6-7 to participate in the Waterloo Gauss Math Contest. Jessie Geng has extra-curricular classes on Thursday for math homework.

Through classroom learning, homework and context training, students can improve their mathematical knowledge, the level of rational thinking and ability to solve specific problem.

Mr Hao from robot club puts forward that, “as an international school who devotes to basic education reform , Chaoyang Kevin school sets up Hugo robot club . Students are guided to use their knowledge of science, technology, engineering and mathematics in building and designing robots, the process also needs strong English ability to read all kinds of documents and robot designs.

In the daily activities and contests, students need good communication skills and ability to deal with various emergencies.otherwise,  Leadership and teamwork skills are more indispensable.The growth of children is gradually realized in the love for science and unremitting exploration.
