On April 29th, CKWA swiftly switched to online teaching and learning. The quick response, orderly arrangement and professional support in technology, curriculum, parent-home communication have shown its rich experience in delivering distant lessons.
What is especially worth mentioning is that CKWA well-being program has been launched online during this period. On the teaching days, from 3.40 to 4.30pm, the school has provided around 40 periods of optional courses with various themes, including 7 sports courses, 10 psychological health courses, and many academic tutoring courses like English learning, music literacy and UGC. Students and their family members can choose to join any livestreaming rooms based on their own interests and needs. They can participate in sports led by coaches or enjoy a mental massage with the help of the counselor or choose suitable tutoring class to hone their language skills.
“Switching to online learning once again, we are better prepared this time. We focus more on the core of education, that is, the experience and happiness of human beings.” Principal Christine Xu shared with us. “This time, we set up the optional courses online available to both students and family members for their physical and mental health during this special period. The holistic educational philosophy that CKWA practices believes not only in the richness of academic courses, but also in the importance of physical and mental health of students in the process of e-learning.”
