To all members of Kaiwen community, parents, and students, happy Spring Festival!
At this special moment, Principal Andrew and I will send our best wishes to every family and every classmate. In the past year, we spent an extraordinary and challenging year. It is because of that we gain more experience and development, whether in academy, character or talent. Principal Andrew and I are so proud of you for your development, you’re the best child in my heart. The New Year is approaching, and It is the Spring Festival called by Chinese. With the arrival of spring, magic changes happen in nature, and make us full of vitality in the New Year, which cannot be achieved without the participation of every family and every student. Principal Andrew and I wish every family and every student gain more development and progress in the New Year. Wish you all the best.
As we approach the Spring Festival, I would like to send my very best wishes to all of our students at Chaoyang Kaiwen Academy. I know that many of you will be staying in Beijing this year but hope that you will nonetheless have the chance to spend time together with your immediate families and friends. And I hope that when you do so, you will all appreciate how fortunate we all are to be here in China, where we can feel safe and supported by our families and our local communities. The past year has helped us all to understand how important these connections are and how much we need the people around us. I congratulate you all then on the friendships you have built over the past year and the kindness you have shown to others in challenging times. And I look forward to seeing you all enjoying more of the huge variety of opportunities open to you at Chaoyang Kaiwen Academy in the Year of the Ox and working together for the enjoyment of all.
As everyone knows our community has had to endure a lot over the past year. We are very privileged to have such a great community that it’s been able to progress even through all the hardships that we have endured, we’re grateful to our government here in China, who has given us amazing advice to help get us through this global pandemic. Also, we are so grateful to all the teachers and students that are within the CKWA a community for all the sacrifices they have made to make sure that education has continued throughout this past year.
The object of a new year is that we should have a new soul. From today decided that we’re not going to stay where we are, taking action and pursue our dream.
In this day full of warmth and happiness, I wish every student of CKWA to make progress in their study and every family to be safe and happy.
We are so excited to see what the new year will bring for all of us and the great opportunities that exists for everyone within our community. We are so looking forward to having an amazing 2021 and enjoy it with every person as part of the CCW a community. I want to conclude from my end by saying 新春快乐.
Boys and girls, parents and families, it is with a whole heart that I wish you all a happy new year.
Events of the past year have highlighted the importance and value of community. We have each experienced personal challenges and endured individual difficulties. In such times, we truly learn what is valued. A strong community is essential, supporting us as we navigate an unknown period.
Being a member of a community is both a privilege and a responsibility. Each day, both students and teachers at CKWA strive to uphold our shared values of Courage, Kindness, Wisdom and Adaptability, guiding each of us as we grow and develop our character. It is with great pride that we witness our young students maturing into compassionate, respectful, reflective and resilient young adults.
Being without my own family these past two years I extend a particular acknowledgement to those who are also unable to be with loved ones at this time. Please know the warmth of our Kaiwen family and seek strength from those around us.
The year 2020 is an extraordinary year. We have worked together to ensure our campus to become a healthy and safe place for our students. Looking into the future, there are still unknowns and many challenges await, but the administrative and logistic teams of Kaiwen are ready for everything. When the COVID-19 is raging, it is also the time for us to fulfill our mission for education. We have the confidence and the ability to bring high-quality, safe and healthy campus to everyone.
Thank you very much for the welcome I received this academic year. It has been very exciting to be part of the ELT and to be contributing to the enrichment program of the school. I’m excited to share some developments that we have for next semester, so the ASA are ready. We have the bilingual descriptions of each ASA, which will be available to choose and select on PowerSchool over the Chinese New Year break. Parents will be able to log on by the usual way in PowerSchool and make their selections with your child. We hope that you enjoy at the selections. Many of them came from students’ suggestions from the surveyor as we sent out. That’s one of the areas we’ve improved for next semester.
Secondly, the well-being program will continue. We have a lot of exciting projects coming up, including the use of the Garden, so your child will be involved in planting a plant or vegetable within the Garden next semester. Looking forward to working with you all and I hope you have a very safe and enjoyable spring break, enjoy the family time, I will be, and hope you do, too.
